The Cockburn Group are independent consultants and commercial finance brokers, in addition to our mainstream corporate activities within the UK and, through our subsidiary Ecosse International, World-wide,    we recognise that the smaller businesses, which are the backbone of employment in any Country, have greater difficulties in funding growth and rely on the financial support of the directors or principals.

Cockburn Consultants   As brokers we are geared to the established corporate and commercial business and from a brokerage aspect can arrange finance for a variety of reasons, for example MBO/MBI, property acquisition, re-scheduling or business expansion. We have access to wide variety of equity, mezzanine and debt funding sources world-wide and therefore can match the client with the lender who will offer the best short, medium and long term benefits.

Cockburn Corporate Services   provides a matching service for business angels and businesses seeking investors. Businesses looking for venture capital or angel funds and our potential investors are vetted by ourselves thus ensuring that suitable matches are found. Background to our service and registration forms are available on this page as are some of our present business opportunities.      Investment opportunities range from GBP 200,000 to GBP50 million.

Cockburn Project Funding we have a regular flow of business from our introducer panel providing us with opportunities to utilise our experience and the depth of our associate network to provide funding for major projects and infrastructure on a truly global scale. We have the ability to provide the necessary funding and, in addition where the client requires, we can provide the required collateral security in the form of BG's, SLC's, MTN's and other acceptable bank paper. Minimum funding starts around USD10 million and major projects requiring multi-billion dollar funding can be structured.

As Consultants to Industry   we provide assistance in a number of ways. We will undertake a full field survey or a quick appraisal for a potential acquisitive party, we will work with existing owners and help to develop and expand business; give assistance with planning and project development, advise on funding - equity, mezzanine or senior debt; in the event that problems arise of a financial or non-financial nature we will provide crisis and interim management and for the existing board of directors conduct a full and in-depth independent appraisal of your business.

Cockburn Associates (U.K. only)  are U.K. based and geared to the small business its needs and its pitfalls. As consultants and brokers we can often help where the company banker refuses assistance or 'tugs at the rug'. Previous credit impairment need not necessarily be an issue.
