Cockburn Corporate  Services - Angel/Company Register

The Cockburn Group aims to assist companies looking to raise smaller amounts of venture capital and business angels seeking investment opportunities.

What, or who, are business angels ?

Business angels are private individuals acting either on their own or as an informal syndicate. Often they will have no prior connection with the business they invest in and indeed may not even reside in the same country,  investment levels are generally lower than commonly available from VC sources. (often below £100,000).

What advantage is there for business ?

Firstly, not all businesses need venture capital, nor indeed are all businesses suitable from an investor viewpoint. As a general rule, unless a business can demonstrate the prospect of significant growth in 5 - 7 years it is unlikely to be of interest to a business angel. Investors will be looking for a substantial multiple on their original capital investment.

Where do Cockburn Corporate Services fit in ?

The Cockburn Group through Corporate Services provides a forum for an International Business Introduction Service sitting along side our other corporate activities. We maintain a register of investors looking for suitable investment opportunities either as individual or as part of one of our syndicates. We have a steady flow of businesses either for sale, looking for a strategic partner, joint venture or seeking equity investment click here for a preview of a small selection.
